More about the tour
Join us on a captivating city walk that combines history, culture and nature. Explore Årsta through the eyes of Märta Helena Reenstierna – Årstafrun who for 46 years portrayed life at Årsta farm in her famous diaries.
From City Pulse to Nature Reserve
The walk starts at Årsta square where you are met by Bror Marklund's iconic sculptures. From there we take us through Årsta's unique 1900s architecture with the EPA houses' galleries and on to the historic cottage Sköntorp.
Årstaskogen's Magic
We continue to Årstaskogen, today a protected nature reserve filled with lush paths and scenic views. Here you will hear about Årstafrun and her poetic depictions of butterfly-adorned meadows, paradisiacal gardens and the rich agricultural life that once defined the area.

The city walk ends at Storängsparken where the story of the great mowing beer comes to life. You get an insight into Årstafrun's everyday life and the festivities that characterized life at Årsta farm.
